Month 5 - Panchatantra - Story

The Loyal Mongoose

Think before acting in anger or fear.

Reading

A family had a loyal mongoose who cared for their baby. One day, while the parents were away, a snake entered the house. The mongoose fought the snake and saved the child.

When the mother returned, she saw blood on the mongoose's mouth and assumed the worst. In fear and anger, she punished the mongoose before checking the baby. Then she discovered the child was safe and the snake was dead.

The lesson is clear: do not act before understanding the truth. Leaders look for evidence before making decisions.
