Month 1 - Mahabharata - Story

The Pandavas Grow Up

Five brothers learn courage, teamwork, and self-control.

Reading

Yudhishthira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula, and Sahadeva grew up in Hastinapura with their cousins, the Kauravas. Each brother had a different strength. Yudhishthira valued truth, Bhima was strong, Arjuna focused deeply, and the twins were graceful and loyal.

Their teacher Drona trained all the princes in discipline and skill. Arjuna became famous for concentration, while Bhima protected his brothers with courage. But jealousy grew in Duryodhana's heart when he saw the Pandavas loved by the people.

The childhood of the Pandavas teaches that every team needs different strengths. A good leader does not need to be best at everything. A good leader helps every person use their gift for the common good.
